Family

My name is Diane. I worked as a nurse for many years and now I have return to college so that I can pursue a career in Medical Office Management. I am the mother of five wonderful young adults. I am the grandmother of nineteen beautiful grand children and just recently I have been blessed with my first great grand daughter. I am the oldest of seven siblings and I am fortunate to be able to say that my mother, stepfather and grandmother are still alive and they are doing well. Among them are several nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and I have two more aunts that are living in our family. I am so thankful for my family. I love them very much. Hopefully I will be able to make a difference in the lives of my family and others as I continue in my career.

  1. Hi Diane,

My young adults need to get to work. I have five, but only three granddaughters from them. You are really blessed to have so many family members alive.

  2. Hi Diane,
Wow! You have a super family. I agree with Nancy, you are really lucky to have so many living relatives. I lost my grandparents years ago, and many of my aunts and uncles in the past couple years. I am lucky though because I live in the same city as my parents and spend as much time with them as I can.
Good luck with your new career!

  3. That is so great, 19 grandkids.. Family is the most important in our lives. I have most of mine that live in Canada, except 2 brothers and myself here in Florida, and my dad part-time.(snowbird). I lost my mom 23 years ago, and still think about her, and wish she were here.

Good luck to you in your career choice.

  4. Sorry that it has taken me so long to get back with you. Yes, family is important to us but sometimes it can get a little hectic around here. My dad was killed when I was fourteen years of age, nearly forty years ago and I still have not been able to fully digest it. But it becomes more bearable with time. Letting go seems to be the hardest part of it all! Sorry about your mother, I pray that you will continue to gain the strength to carry on. I believe that she would be very proud of you for attending college. My mother has recently moved only about five minutes away from me and although I talk to her on the phone regularly, I really am not able to see her as much as I would like because I spend most of my time studying, taking care of household chores and resting.
You keep up the good work, I am proud of you!
